Job Responsibilities
- Provide case management services for students with disabilities as follows: review documentation, conduct intake interviews and follow up meetings, recommend academic accommodations and adjustments, make referrals to other campus and community resources, advocate for the inclusion of students with disabilities in university programs and services.
- Function as a resource on disability inclusion and accessibility to faculty, staff, families, and the university community.
- Participate in the review and update of departmental policies and procedures as a member of Disability Services.
- Represent Disability Services and the Weingarten Center through presentations and outreach events.
- Serve on interdepartmental working groups and initiatives to support overall missions of the Weingarten Center and University Life.
- Continue to learn about evolving and changing legal requirements and best practices in accessibility and disability inclusion in higher education.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 2 to 3 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, are required.
- Master’s degree and 2-3 years of experience preferred.
